"One More Time" prominently features a vocal performance written and sung by Romanthony. The song is listed at #5 on Pitchfork Media's top 500 songs of the 2000s, and #33 on Rolling Stone 's top 100 songs of the decade (2000–2009) as well as #307 on Rolling Stone 's amended " The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time" list in May 2010. The song is currently Daft Punk's only #1 single in their home country of France. Marc Mysterio released a cover version of "One More Time" featuring the vocals of Yardi Don. It is also featured in the Wii video game Boogie and PlayStation 3's SingStar. It nearly topped the United Kingdom chart in 2000, instead peaking at #2, and was one of their few charting songs in the United States, reaching #61 on the Billboard Hot 100. "One More Time" remains their biggest commercial hit to date. As part of the album, the track is featured in the introduction to the film Interstella 5555. The song's vocal performance by Romanthony is heavily auto-tuned and compressed. So that's basically my life in a nutshell, but I hope to go into more detail later on." One More Time" is a song by Daft Punk first released as a single on 13 November 2000 and later included in the 2001 album Discovery. I mainly watch football, wrestling, golf, and baseball. Watching sports is alos very enjoyable for me. As I mentioned previously, I also enjoy wrestling. I have played golf throughout my life and played it in high school. Sports are also a very big part of my life. While on work crew, I made many great friends who have a heart for the Lord and for fellowship. So much so that this previous summer, I spent a month on work crew at Castaway Club in Minnesota. Young Life is also a big part of my life. I am also a Christian and am very passionate about my faith.Īs far as free-time activities, I am a member of the Boy Scouts and have reached the rank of Eagle Scout. My family consists of my parents and three younger siblings back in St. I'll talk more about wrestling and my experiences with it at another time. I'm also a member of the Truman wrestling team. I am currently a history major and am looking to graduate and become a high school history teacher. Now for a little background about myself:Īs I said before, I am a freshman at Truman State University, located in Kirksville, MO.
This blog will be mainly about my life as a freshman at Truman State University, updated whenever I have the time/ something interesting to talk about. Hey guys, so this is obviously my first try at a blog and I'm not sure how this will work. (Oh, I am also not participating in No Shave November due to the fact that I have to shave for wrestling, so this will serve as my substitution for that.) When the month ends, I will post again with my thoughts/ reactions to this challenge. This challenge will definitely be hard to complete for me because I enjoy different music depending on what I am doing and how I am feeling but I know that this will be a chance to expand my musical interest and keep my music fresh and interesting.
Some things that are on my iTunes, just to give a little insight to my musical taste:ĪC/DC, Air Supply, Beastie Boys, Billy Joel, The Black Keys, Casting Crowns, Chicago, Childish Gambino, Coldplay, Daft Punk, Dave Matthews Band, Flight Of The Concords, Genesis, Hoodie Allen, Jay-Z, Jimmy Hendrix, Kings Of Leon, Led Zeppelin, The Lonely Island, Mac Miller, Meat Loaf, Mumford And Sons, Pink Floyd, The Police, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Simon & Garfunkel, Taylor Swift, U2, The Who, and many more. Secondly, I hope to find new songs that I haven't heard before and hopefully increase my musical taste. The first objective is to get me out of the habit of listening to the same thing over and over again. That amounts to 2,100 songs totaling 6 days, 1 hour, 26 minutes, and 1 second. The solution that I came up with is to listen to my iTunes library in its entirety. For a while everything was ok listening to the same stuff, but now I find my musical choices a little repetitive. There is only problem with the way I listen and that problem is that I find myself listening to the same songs and artists all of the time.
I listen to music all the time during my day and I really enjoy it. As I go along with my day, wether it's going to classes, doing homework, or working out, there is always one commonality.
